Overview

Explore the beautiful Kapiti Coast with a passionate local, just one hour north of Wellington.

Catch the train from Wellington Railway Station and take in the panoramic views across the ocean out to Kapiti Island. Meet me at Paekākāriki Station and hike the stunning 10km Escarpment Trail with me, high above the ocean with nothing but picture-perfect scenery splayed out in every direction before you.

Once completed, we’ll catch the train back to Paekākāriki before driving up to Paraparaumu Beach for a well-deserved coffee and lunch at the scrumptious Ambience Cafe.

From there, I’ll show you around the local spots of this quaint seaside town before heading to Tuatara Brewery for a classic afternoon of craft beer tasting.

Afterwards, I’ll drive you north to showcase one of Kapiti Coast’s best-kept secret beaches before dropping you back at Waikanae Train Station for a well-deserved sit down on your journey back to Wellington.
